A personal approach to protecting corporate & individual reputations
I partner with clients to solve personal and professional issues or crises when reputation is paramount. My clients include high-net-worth individuals, as well as board members, executives, and heads of communication or risk management whose C-suite expect answers in situations that have the potential to threaten their brand’s reputation.
After a nearly 20-year career in strategic communications and public relations, I started my own practice to work with clients the way I’ve achieved the most success. I work to resolve my client’s issue as though it were my own brand or reputation at stake. I put myself in my client’s position – as well as those who have been impacted by the situation – to best determine how to resolve it. I provide realistic and practical advice. I am clear about my focus and area of expertise, and work with a network of skilled professionals who specialize in related fields to ensure my clients receive a “best-of-breed” experience.
There is typically more than one way to solve or respond to a problem. In partnership with my client, we find the path, the actions, and the words that are most authentic to them. While I don’t have a crystal ball, I can often anticipate the benefits and risks of a variety of scenarios, helping my client to best prepare for and manage any risks that come with their decisions along the way.
I have clients that I have worked with over many years, but typically first get called by new clients when they or their organizations are facing emerging or already public crises and speed is critical. I learn fast and recognize the value and importance of working with not only the direct client, but also the teams that surround them (as appropriate) whether that is the function of a corporate infrastructure or the people who support an individual’s brand such as agents, managers, publicists, and/or members of a family office.
My goal is always to resolve the issue quietly and amicably. However, given the multitude of factors at play in high-stakes situations – social media, vocal opponents, government or regulatory considerations, ongoing litigation, and fan or public pressure – the reality is that it is not always possible. In those cases, I work with my client to navigate through the issue, adjusting course as needed, to achieve optimal long-term results.
The ability to guide clients successfully through a crisis requires an innate ability combined with the depth of experience cultivated from working on issues and crises every day for years.

My experience
Advised the Board of Directors at a non-profit organization upon discovering the CEO had embezzled a significant amount of assets from the organization. Worked with the Board to identify the actions it needed to take, as well as how to communicate the news to key stakeholders, including donors, successfully containing the news and preserving the organization’s existence.
Worked directly with a C-level executive as he planned for and transitioned out of the company, effectively mitigating rumors and speculation internally and externally about the rationale for his departure.
Provided on-the-ground counsel and support for a corporate brand that had one of its locations become the site of a mass shooting with multiple fatalities, ultimately preserving the corporate brand and the location’s business without a single lawsuit filed.
Provided advice, counsel, and execution to the CEO and leadership of an institution undergoing transformative change to its culture and operating model. Assisted with the rollout of a number of high-stake, sensitive communications to de-escalate issues and prevent triggering any crises, mitigating the overall risk to the organization and its executive team.
Worked at a client in a regulated industry to operate as a liaison among corporate affairs, government relations, regulatory relations and the legal team to ensure consistent and effective messages across all stakeholders during ongoing criminal and regulatory investigations stemming from a fatal, operational disaster.
Counseled a number of companies and organizations, as well as their executives and co-founders, facing allegations of toxic workplace environment, gender discrimination, and/or systemic racism by working through the issues, helping to determine a path to address them, responding to resulting litigation, and communicating to key audiences through the process.
Represented a number of high-net-worth and celebrity clients in their public and contentious divorces, serving as a strategic advisor and spokesperson across business, entertainment, and tabloid publications and outlets.
Provided crisis communications counsel to a company in the wake of a significant cyber-security breach that targeted its entertainment industry clients, ultimately helping the company preserve its customer base.
Worked for a national, corporate food chain counseling on issues related to the pandemic, food borne illness, shootings, alleged discrimination, workplace issues, and more to successfully de-escalate issues before rising to crisis level, keeping the brand and its executives’ reputations unharmed.
Provided strategic advice and counsel for a Fortune 10 company and its top executive on reputational matters related to business and personal life, accompanying the executive at high-profile public events to manage exposure and mitigate issues.
